We work safely or we do not work.
VCA-Petrochemie certified, with a crew that knows every accident can be prevented.
What it is about
Everyone goes home healthy at the end of the day. Everything else comes after that.
Lock out
Locked first, then we work.
Before a single bolt comes loose, the installation is closed and locked. Scroll along.
Isolating
The valve closed.
Together with the operator of the installation, the valve is closed, as the work permit requires.
Lock out
A lock on the handle.
Where the work calls for it, a padlock goes on, so nobody opens the valve by accident.
Tag out
Everyone sees who is working on it.
A tag hangs from the lock. Only when the work is done and everyone has left does it come off.
From head to toe
What we wear, and why.
Personal protection is not a formality. Scroll and the spotlight moves along what our craftsmen carry every day.
Helmet Safety glasses Gloves Gas detector Harness BootsEvery day
Complete, or not at work.
Anyone who is not complete does not start. That goes for everyone, on every site. We work safely or we don't work at all.
Head
Always a helmet.
On every site, on every job. Even when the work seems small.
Eyes
Eyes protected.
When grinding, welding and working on lines that have been under pressure.
Hands
The right glove for the job.
Cut-resistant for sheet metal, heat-resistant for welding. One glove is not the other.
Measuring
Measure first, then work.
In a confined space or at an opened installation, we first measure whether the air is safe.
Height
Secured at height.
At height we work with a harness and fall protection, tied off to a point that holds.
Feet
Firmly on the floor.
Safety boots with a steel toe cap and a sole that does not slip on a wet grating.
Before every job
Four questions, then we start.
Every craftsman does the last minute risk assessment on the spot, just before the work starts. Scroll along.
LMRA
Last minute risk assessment.
- Do I know what I have to do?
- Do I know what the hazards are?
- Do I have the right tools and protection?
- Can I do this safely?
Four times yes? Then we start.
Anyone may stop the work, always. Go ahead and try.
Work stopped. Rightly so.
How we work
Four rules that never bend.
Scroll and the rules slide past one by one.
Always
Safety comes before the schedule.
Before the job
No work without a work permit and a last minute risk assessment.
Every day
We believe every accident can be prevented.
At height
Tied off, with inspected equipment and a colleague keeping watch.
VCA-Petrochemie
The strictest standard for contractors in oil, gas and chemicals.
With it we may work on the sites with the highest requirements. ISO 9001 makes sure people, equipment and environment are in the same system.
VCA-Petrochemie for safety, ISO 9001 for the organisation and ISO 3834-2 and EN 1090 for the work itself, with periodic audits.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about safety.
Are you VCA-Petrochemie certified?
Yes. The certificate is on the certificates page and can be downloaded there.
How do you handle a work permit?
We don't start without a work permit. The foreman arranges it with your operator, and the crew then does a last minute risk assessment on the spot.
Do your people get training?
Yes, continuously. From VCA to toolbox meetings per project.
What happens if something is not safe?
Then we stop. We work safely or we don't work at all, even when the schedule is tight.
